Calendon castle
Calendon – in the year 3445
This law has been dictated by King Cael Stormblade and applies to all citizens within the boundaries of Morania, human and elf. If this law is not followed one is always punished according to the law.

Stealing is prohibited. First time one is caught, one can pay a fine. If one cannot pay, a single finger is chopped off. Second time one is caught, one hand will be chopped off. The third time one should have understood the first two warnings, and the punishment is death.

If one slays another creature, human or elf, the punishment is death. If the kill happens in self defence or during war the severest punishment is a fine to the dead person’s family. If one kills an orc, goblin or other monster one is not punished.

If one is of noble birth one has to always carry a Letter of Nobility.
If one is not capable of this, one’s title is not valid.

A human is considered an adult by the age of 15. If one breaks the law before one is 15, the parents are liable to pay a fine.

Only creatures serving the King may practice magic.

Any men between 15-45 years of age are to serve in the King’s army when needed. If one cannot do this, the punishment is a fine or imprisonment.

Kidnapping, black mailing, private fines and any other form of forcing something from someone is prohibited and will result in a fine or imprisonment.

Fistfights are not punished. Fights with weapons are prohibited and will result in a fine or imprisonment. Rape is punished with a fine to the woman’s father or husband.

An heir is always the eldest son. If there is no son, the eldestmarried daughter is the heir.

If one gives out a loan, it is prohibited to earn money from it.

Rebellion against the crown is prohibited and the punishment is death.

Slave trade is prohibited within the borders of Morania and the punishment is death.

It is prohibited to worship Chaos. The punishment is death.

Drows, orcs and goblins are only tolerated within a city’s walls if they do not carry weapons or armour.

Death benders are only allowed if they serve the King.

Only humans and elves in the King’s service are allowed to carry weapon. Elves in King Tharqauin’s service may only carry weapons, if they have a legal errand in Morania.

In the year 3451: To claim or spread the notion that Therian’s creatures still exist is prohibited and the punishment is death. Stormblade has in the year 3450 heroically banished these creatures for eternity and if anyone claim otherwise it is rebellion against the crown.

The King can at any time make changes to this law.
