There are several options if you want to be a healer in Néveri. You can choose between these three options:

1. Become a natural physician/healer
2. Become a priest/healer and use your god’s abilities
3. Worship only Rahnee and be a stronger healer

1. As a natural physician/healer one uses herbs from nature, bandages and simple operating procedures to help others (for example, sow up minor wounds and stop bleedings). It is limited what one can do if a person is bleeding internally or has severed limbs and one cannot cure natural illnesses (as one can today with penicillin for example). These natural physicians/healers can easily be found in regular cities.
    
2. As a priestly healer one either lives in a cloister or has spent time there, preferably with a mentor. It takes a few years to become good enough to help somebody with more than minor scratches, unless one has a very close relationship to one’s deity or is very committed to one’s mission. One can choose to travel the country or settle down in a town or city. This type of priest is found in some towns, some smaller settlements have none or maybe a single one. These priests have gathered in hospitals in Calendon and Correntain the better to help people in need. Some priests will expect payment to heal a person. As a priest one can also cure illnesses, however it depends on how great a healer one is and how good one’s contact is to one’s god. If one’s god chooses to block one’s healing abilities, one can do absolutely nothing – besides helping people as a natural healer.
    
3. If one chooses to worship Rahnee one has to seek out one of her cloisters or temples, or a person who has worshipped her for many years. One then becomes an apprentice and is shown the rites and prayers involved in the art of healing. Whether one becomes a successful healer or not depends wholly on Rahnee’s acceptance or denial. These healers are rare and they only dwell in the largest cities of Morania, or in the woods of the elves. A lot of them only aid selected groups, some do not deny anybody their help. Most of the Rahnee healers know each other and there’s a strong companionship between them, which goes deeper than racial differences. As a Rahnee healer one is capable of helping those who have lost limbs and those who are mortally wounded. Some will claim that these healers can even bring the dead back to life...
